Studio Title: Gow-Vertical SP2012 – The Imbalancing Act of Entropic Architecture

The main concept for the design on the site is to allow for different stages of the Los Angeles River to influence the massing and the scale of the geometries and create various forms of habitat in the process. The overall design acts as a synthetic rhizome, gathering and storing water at various points or at other times pulling the water through a root system and using it to water various species of plant life and ecologies.
