Snow White

Snow White uses a simple set of three-dimensional blended curves in various mirrored compositions. The painting robots interpolate between the control points’ position (x, y, and z coordinates) of each curve in the set. In this way, the three-dimensional curves drive the gradient and line definition of the painting on the two-dimensional canvas. The curve sets are mirrored along the x, y, and z-axis to create a composition of duality that uses two synchronous robots.

Rainbows

The Rainbow paintings address the most basic movements and capabilities of the robot to produce a number of highly specific, precisely inaccurate results in a series of aesthetic and technical inquiries. Adherence to brutally pragmatic formats allowed for careful testing and calibration of the painting instrument.
